The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Laguna Provincial Office, through the Negosyo Center Mabitac, conducted the first module in the Safe Management Program entitled “4Ks to Pandemic Preparedness and Response: Philippine Setting” last 20 April 2022, via Zoom. This activity was attended and participated by DTI staff, and five (5) MSMEs who were not able to finish the program last February.

The program started with the preliminaries of opening prayer and acknowledgment of participants. Cris Mark V. Bermudo, Negosyo Center Business Counselor in Mabitac, delivered his welcome message to the participants and guests encouraging them to persevere especially on the reopening of local businesses in the country.

It was followed by the seminar proper wherein, Mark Vincent Arasa Negosyo Senior Business Counselor and Safe Management Program focal person, discussed the objectives of the program that is focused on the current trends of safety management measures as initiated by the Philippine government through the Safety Seal Certification. Also introduces the 4K framework for preparedness, responsive and safe reopening of work (Kabuhayan) focusing on safety (Kaligtasan), cleanliness and sanitation (Kalinisan), and health (Kalusugan) that can be a basis for pandemic preparedness.♦
