The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna continuously provides business development assistance for MSMEs. On 24 March 2022, the Negosyo Center Rizal facilitated the ceremonial awarding for Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) at Rizal Centennial Civic Center, Brgy. Paule 2 Rizal, Laguna.

One of the objectives of the program is the provision of “business kits” to identify beneficiaries from target barangays that will help them restore and improve their businesses. In line with this, a total of 19 NSB beneficiaries were chosen and attended the ceremonial awarding.

As part of the program, Negosyo Center Business Counselor Jelly Poso started with an opening prayer. It was followed by Alexander Manrique, the executive assistant of Mayor Muñoz, who delivered his welcoming message. He encouraged beneficiaries to be thankful and to utilize the kits that will be given to them.

The said event was witnessed by DTI staff and representatives from the local government units (LGU) in Rizal. In continuation of the program, the beneficiaries signed their Pledge of Commitment. It was immediately followed by the awarding of the gift checks. The beneficiaries committed to participate in training and engage in initiatives that would complement the provided livelihood assistance for them. Further, DTI Laguna hopes that all beneficiaries will persevere and will efficiently manage the livelihood kits given to them.♦
