The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Laguna Provincial Office, in cooperation with the local government unit of Luisiana, grants livelihood kits to the beneficiaries of Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB).

A total of 36 beneficiaries from 6 barangays in the said municipality were awarded with livelihood kits in order to continue their businesses as they have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Cong. Benjamin C. Agarao, Jr. , representative of the Fourth District of Laguna, provided and additional P1,000.00 capital for the LSP-NSB beneficiaries to further aid their livelihood.

The said event was also graced by key officials from varying government offices, namely: DTI-4A Regional Director Marilou Q. Toledo, DTI-Laguna Provincial Director Clarke S. Nebrao, Senior Board Member Jam Agarao, Luisiana Vice-Mayor Armando Taguilaso, and ABC President Isabelita Rivera.

LSP-NSB is one of the flagship programs of DTI which aims to provide a wider business development assistance by providing government services to the public through the local government units. Its goal is to further capacitate the barangays, through its personnel, on how to provide basic information dissemination or basic business advisory to the MSMEs in their area.

The beneficiaries identified are culled from identified barangays, specifically those in the vulnerable communities affected by natural or human-induced calamities such as epidemics and pandemics. ♦
