The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna Provincial Office, through the Negosyo Center (NC) Magdalena, in cooperation with LGU Magdalena, Laguna, conducted the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) series of program and services orientation, entrepreneurial training-seminar, and consumer education on 19 May 2022, Thursday, 9:00 am to 12:00 nn, at the Farmers Training Center Agriculture Compound, Barangay Ilayang Butnong, Magdalena, Laguna.

The program started with the opening prayer and acknowledgement of guests and participants by PPG Coordinator Ms. Joemarie C. Valizado. Ms. Cherry S. Almonte-Sulapat of LGU Magdalena PESO Office delivered her welcome message towards the participants and guests. Followed by an inspirational message from our Consumer Protection Division Chief, Mr. Cesar L. Gerpacio. He emphasized the importance of the said activity to the participants, especially during the surge of pandemic many had lost their jobs, and started to engage either in food business or online business.

Then, Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist Mr. Christian Ted O. Tungohan, discussed about the different programs and services of DTI. Followed by Ms. Joemarie C. Valizado who delivered the important details about the program PPG. NCBC Rica Mae E. Garcia, discussed the pros and cons and nine (9) steps in starting a business. Lastly, Mr. Cesar L. Gerpacio, Chief of Consumer Protection Division, discussed about Consumer Education. To end the event, Mr. Christian Ted O. Tungohan, Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist, gave his closing remarks to the beneficiaries who attended the training and seminar before receiving their kits. He hopes that every MSME maximizes the opportunity that DTI-Laguna gave to them. ♦
