Mabitac, Laguna – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna, through the Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB)had distributed livelihood kits to 24 micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME-beneficiaries) from four different barangays in the municipality of Mabitac on 30 September 2021.

Clarke S. Nebrao, DTI-Laguna Provincial Director, shared that the said 24 beneficiaries were among those who received livelihood kits worth P5,000 each as part of the agency’s commitment to the Bayanihan Heal As One Act in order to aid MSMEs amidst the onset of the pandemic.

For the said event, local administrator Romeo Alarde assured the beneficiaries and other distressed businesses in Mabitac that the municipal government will assist them in order to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With regard to succeeding assistance for the beneficiaries, Regional Director Marilou R. Toledo stated that they will be continuously guided by the Negosyo Center Business Counsellors until they are able to grow and excel through their enterprises.

Further, RD Toledo imparted that the NSB-LSP is an outgrowth of the NSB program, which aims to provide a package of livelihood kits, business advisory assistance, and services to MSMEs that have been affected by natural and human-induced disasters such as health disasters. ♦
