Victoria, Laguna – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna Provincial Office, through its Consumer Protection Division, further inculcates the five qualities of a responsible consumer:
1. A consumer must be critically-aware.
- S/he must question the use, price, and quality of the products and services before buying them.
2. A consumer must take action.
- S/he must know to assert in the situation to get a good deal.
3. A consumer must care about the social impact of her/his purchases.
- S/he must only buy what is needed knowing that the supplies are only limited and the less fortunate ones, need to buy too.
4. A consumer must care about the environment.
- S/he must understand that her/his choices have an impact to the environment in order to protect the future generations.
5. A consumer must be an advocate.
- S/he must promote the principle of solidarity among consumers to further protect the public interest.
