DTI-Laguna together with the LSP-NSB Beneficiaries in a Group Photo

Liliw, Laguna – To help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to bounce back better despite of the pandemic, the Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) thru the Negosyo Center – Liliw conducted the Launching of Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) in Liliw, Laguna on 10 December 2021. A total of 29 beneficiaries attended the program.

Part of the said launching was the conduct of entrepreneurial seminar, where the topics discussed were on the DTI programs and services, project brief on NSB-LSP, How to Start a Business, P3 CARES Loan Program and Business Plan Preparation. This activity is part of the process for the selected beneficiaries to be able to help them capacitate their abilities to run their respective business prior to the provision of livelihood kits worth P8,000.00.

Coincided with this LSP-NSB, a Consumer Education and Advocacy Initiative was also facilitated where DTI-Laguna discussed the basic consumer rights and responsibilities, and the salient features of the Consumer Act of the Philippines. This activity aims to increase the consumer awareness level and to help provide better protection to consumers.

The LSP-NSB aims to maximize the potential of barangays to become economically independent and make them more effective partners in the attainment of the national goals and to increase the awareness of barangay officials about the services offered by the Department through the Negosyo Center and to provide the MSMEs with a capacity building program and livelihood kit assistance for them to recover from the impact of the pandemic. ♦
