The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna Provincial Office through Negosyo Center (NC) and the local government unit (LGU) of Santa Maria, conducted seminars and orientation for the selected beneficiaries of Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Program held at the 3rd Floor, Integrated Municipal Building, Santa Maria, Laguna on 20 April 2022.

The activity aims to capacitate PPG beneficiaries through the provision of information on DTI programs and services, entrepreneurial training, and consumer education.

The activity commenced with an opening prayer and was promptly followed by an encouraging welcome message from Arnel Magpily of DTI Laguna. Then, Liana Mara Bayunggan, DTI PPG support staff introduced the PPG program, which aims to assist individuals and families affected by fire incidents and other calamities, including health disasters like the COVID-19 pandemic, and those who will avail of the Balik Probinsya Program for the purpose of establishing or relocating an enterprise. She also presented DTI programs and services.

Moreover, Maria Clara Canopio of DTI Laguna discussed consumer protection services and consumer education while the topic of How to Start a Business was tackled by Nicols Consignado, NC Business Counselor.

On the other hand, Mayor Atty. Ma. Rocelle Carolino delivered an inspiring message. She emphasized the importance of livelihood programs in achieving sustainable livelihood and economic stability.

To wrap up the activity, Bayunggan and other DTI-Laguna staff guided each participant in preparing their simplified action plan. The activity concluded with the registration of the business name.♦
