Calamba City, Laguna – The Department of Trade and Industry Laguna Provincial Office conducted BITS Coaching on 10 November 2021 (Wednesday) at National University Laguna, Calamba City.

A total of 17 mentees from different municipalities of Laguna participated in the said event. Fifteen (15) of these mentees went to the venue for a face-to-face coaching session while the remaining two (2) mentees were catered online through teleconferencing.

The event was hosted by Vencer Vladimir Hurtada, a Negosyo Center Business Counsellor from Bay, Laguna. Before the plenary talk of, Joemarie Cruz Valizado (Negosyo Center Santa Maria) commenced the program with a prayer. It was immediately followed by the opening remarks by Mr. Jose Ricardo Ocampo, Director of Administration of NU Laguna. Mr. Benjamin F. Uichico, Managing Director, NU Laguna and the Provincial Director of the Department of Trade and Industry Laguna, Clarke S. Nebrao were also invited to deliver their respective inspirational messages.

Dr. Nina San Miguel, Director of Academics of NU Laguna, imparted her knowledge through a discussion on pitching to help the mentees for their final output for #BITS. She discussed the components of a proper pitch that would capture the attention of possible investors. Further, a #BITS Coaching proper was fore fronted by Marlon Diloy, Dean of the College of Computer Studies, Johnny Boy Tizon, Chair of the Business Administration Program, and Dr. Narro Navarro, Head of Academe of the Industry Linkages. ♦
