What is RISE UP? It is a loan program that aims to sustain the gains of microentrepreneurs that have survived the past two years of crisis by providing multi-purpose loans that have soft terms and can be easily accessed. The RISE UP Multi-Purpose Loan caters to multi-sectoral micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including existing borrowers of Small Business Corporation (SBCorp).
The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna), through its Negosyo Center San Pedro City and in partnership with SBCorp, conducted a webinar on RISE UP Multi-Purpose Loan Program last 16 July 2022 via Zoom.
The webinar aimed to help existing MSMEs understand the basic requirements and familiarize them with the procedure of the online application. It was attended by the existing and potential MSMEs in San Pedro City, Laguna, and those MSMEs in nearby cities and municipalities. SBCorp Laguna P3 Coordinator Rona Angulo served as the resource speaker.
The program started with a welcome message from Ms. Maria Clara B. Conopio, OIC Division Chief of the Business Development Division of DTI-Laguna, followed by Angulo, who presented the different RISE UP loan programs that include the basic requirements needed for application. Angulo also guided and showed the participants the step-by-step online application procedures. After the presentation, Angulo answered all the questions and concerns of the participants.
Lastly, DTI Negosyo Center San Pedro Business Counselor Onyx Lim gave updates on the upcoming programs and events of DTI-Laguna and gave his closing remarks to the participants of the program. ♦
