The initial batch of livelihood kits from Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon was awarded to Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) beneficiaries of Alabat Island on November 3, 2022.

The awarding of PPG Certificates and livelihood kits for the beneficiaries of Quezon and Alabat took place at the Alabat Municipal Building.

For Perez, awarding was done at Tourism Beach Resort. One of the beneficiaries recently gave birth to her firstborn, hence the need to deliver the kits to her residence.

These beneficiaries received materials, accessories, and small tools for tailoring shops, barbershops, and manicure/pedicure services.

The kits received for the customized cake business, bakery, and milk tea shop include baking ingredients like flour, sugar, oil, milk, and flavorings.

PPG is one of the Department of Trade and Industry’s programs that aims to help micro-entrepreneurs by allocating in-kind assistance deemed necessary to recover and sustain their small businesses from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and those victims of other disasters or calamities.

Hon. Jose Ramil R. Arquiza, Municipal Mayor, and Dr. Perfecto Vitter C. Chua Cheng, Municipal Administrator were present during the awarding. Ms. Victoria T. Gonzales, Business Counselor-Negosyo Center Alabat, and Ms. Marianel A. Omila, Business Counselor-Negosyo Center Quezon, facilitated the awarding of livelihood kits.
