The DTI Negosyo Center Gumaca Business Counselor accompanied and assisted the LSP–NSB beneficiaries, two (2) from Barangay Rizal and five from Barangay Rosario in Gumaca, Quezon, on 28 December 2021. For the negosyo tool kits and livelihood kits, the beneficiaries received P7,000 in gift checks (Landbank of the Philippines Cash Card). The activity was awarded at the Puregold Calauag Branch.

The beneficiaries of Gumaca, Quezon, took out their grocery lists and began shopping in the store’s aisles. The awarding was a breeze thanks to the assistance of other business counselors in NCs in Pagbilao, Macalelon, San Narciso, and San Antonio. Beneficiaries completed the award at around 10:00AM after processing their transactions. The DTI Negosyo Center in Calauag also provided a meal or snack to the beneficiaries of Quezon’s 4th district. Five (5) municipalities in Quezon Province were successful in awarding their recipients.

The Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay is a program of the DTI that allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing government services closer to the people through partnerships between relevant local government units and DTI officials. Through Barangay Development Councils (BDCs), the DTI will help capacitate barangay personnel to provide basic business advisory or information dissemination services to MSMEs in the locality.

The program also aims to help and continue the advocacy of the DTI for the prosperous economy of our country amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic.♦
