In pursuance of DTI’s commitment to protecting the rights and interests of consumers and developing policies and programs aimed at sustaining the growth and development of the Philippine economy, the Department of Trade and Industry, Quezon Provincial Office, through the Consumer Protection Division and Negosyo Center Calauag, conducted a seminar on Fair Trade Laws last 21 January 2022, held at the Calauag Livelihood Center.

As a prime mover of consumer welfare, the DTI Quezon Provincial Office ensured by overseeing the effective implementation and enforcement of trade regulation and fair-trade laws in Calauag, protecting consumers through consumer education and information dissemination programs. The event was participated in by San Quintin Multi-Sectoral Organization Handicrafts Manufacturing, a people’s organization composed of farmers and fishermen of Brgy. San Quintin, Calauag, Quezon and key personnel from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer of Calauag.

Also present in the meeting were Ruel Y. Gabiola, Trade and Industry Development Specialist and resource speaker, Lester Ibañes, CPD-Consumer Support Analyst, and Ma. Isabel C. Hirang, Negosyo Center Calauag-Business Counselor. ♦
