The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon through its Negosyo Center conducted a seminar on Entrepreneurial, Innovation Mind-setting and Franchising last Wednesday, 6 April 2022, at the Venue 501, Brgy. Bulakin II, Dolores Quezon. It was attended by 20 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and 25 guests from DTI – Region IV – A Office, DTI – Quezon, Association of Filipino Franchisers, Inc. (AFFI), and from the Local Government Unit of Dolores, Quezon.
The event was graced by the opening remarks of Mayor Orlan A. Calayag and DTI Provincial Director (PD) Julieta L. Tadiosa. “Lubos po akong nagpapasalamat dahil talagang matiyaga pong nagbibigay ng mga ganitong seminar ang DTI, sa mga kapwa ko Doloresins. Sa aking mga kapwa Doloresins na naririto, sana ay makalakip tayo ng bagong karunungan ano, at magamit natin sa pag-unlad pa ng ating mga negosyo. Muli po maraming salamat! ” As he wrapped up his welcome remarks, Mayor Calayag stated. Afterwards, Division Chief Anna Marie V. Quincina introduced Jorge Noel Y. Wieneke from the Office of the DTI Secretary and Jeremiah Paul “Jaypee” Morales, the President of the Association of Filipino Franchisers, Inc. (AFFI), as the guest speakers and lecturers of the seminar.
“The greatest enemy of innovation and change is FEAR, as entrepreneurs dapat risk-taker tayo – risk- taker at may willingness. Willingness to create, willingness to make a difference and willingness to learn from failure,” Wieneke concluded.
It was a whole day of purposeful and relevant seminar that equipped our entrepreneurs with knowledge and innovative skills to improve their businesses. The afternoon session of the seminar was a one-on-one mentoring of the participants. Present in the said session were the mentors of AFFI, Josephine Raechel Pamisa, Jorge Miguel Wieneke IV, Jeremiah Paul Morales, Samora Santiago, Arlene P. Martinez, and Jennifer Wieneke, where they answered inquiries, and harness the potentials of the participants through mentorship.
Also present in the event seminar were Edgardo B. Ferino, Alyssa Louise I. Rimorin, Norida Villaruel, Dolores, Raymond Seriban, MPDC Dolores – Planning Assistant, Ms. Leyland B. Madridano, DAicel Joy S. Dongon, Business Counselor of Dolores, and Daisy Lacerna, Business Counselor of San Antonio. SB Member Binday Patulot, Head of Trade and Commerce in Dolores, concluded the event with her grateful closing remarks.♦
