The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon Provincial Office hosted the first day of the third webinar on the Youth Entrepreneurship Program: Business Pitching Workshop. A total of 419 attendees via Zoom and 158 participants via Facebook (FB) Live streaming participated on the day of the event, with a growing number of 600 views on its recording on FB.

Invited to speak on the topic was 2018 Mang Inasal Gawad Pilipinoy awardee Coach Ruben M. Lanot II, Owner and Manager of Pino Resto Bar and BRGR: The Burger Project.

DTI Quezon Provincial Director Julieta L. Tadiosa delivered the welcome remarks and discussed the three components of the program, which are: Youth Start, Youth Net, and Youth Match. She emphasized the need to continue to support the youth sector in order to thrive during and beyond the pandemic. This was followed by the introduction of the speaker by Senior Trade-Industry Development Specialist Ma. Cristina J. Avio.

The four-hour webinar piqued the participants’ interest because it was designed to be an effective instrument for winning substantial support from potential investors/partners. The second half of the two-day activity, the Business Pitching Workshop, is to be continued on 24 September 2021. ♦
