DTI Quezon successfully launched the second OTOP Philippines Hub in Tiaong, Quezon

Before ending the year, another milestone took place as the second OTOP Hub was launched in Quezon province on 23 December 2021, at Tiaong Bypass Road, Brgy. Lumingon, Tiaong, Quezon. The operator of the new OTOP Hub is Pasciolco Pasalubong and Restaurant, another business line owned by the 2017 OTOPreneur, Maura Pasciolco of Pasciolco Agri Ventures.

Provincial Director Julieta L. Tadiosa formally opened the event with her welcome remarks . She mentioned the success of the first One Town. One Product (OTOP) Hub in Quezon as it helped micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have access to a new marketing venue for their products and she hoped for the continuity of its accomplishments through the newly launched OTOP Hub.

It was followed by the message given by the Regional Director, Marilou Q. Toledo, as she paid tribute to the MSMEs being the lifeblood of the economy. She also shared how she witnessed the new OTOP Hub’s operator rise from a simple kitchen-based business to a well-known exporter in the coconut industry.

Through a virtual message, Asec. Demphna Du Naga commends the DTI-Quezon Provincial Office for launching the second hub in the province in less than a year after the first OTOP Hub was launched, as this became a clear manifestation of the agency’s competence and dedication. She also encouraged all MSMEs to come out of their comfort zones and learn new ways of doing business as the economy is now recovering.

Maura Pasciolco wholeheartedly accepted the challenge as an OTOP Hub Operator and committed to continue helping her fellow MSMEs through OTOP PH. ♦
