The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Quezon Provincial Office through Negosyo Center Dolores began distributing livelihood Negosyo kits under the Livelihood Seeding Program—Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) program in Puregold Tiaong on Monday, 15 August 2022.

Six (6) beneficiaries from Barangay Bungoy and Barangay Silanganan, Dolores, Quezon were given an opportunity to purchase and receive various livelihood kits amounting to PHP 8,000.00, depending on their business needs. The livelihood kits distributed include goods for the sari-sari store, and food processing and retailing. The beneficiaries were all grateful for the program and the people who worked behind it. Present for the said activity were the Business Counselors from Dolores, Tiaong, San Antonio, Sariaya, and Candelaria, and an LSP-NSB Support Staff to assist the beneficiaries with their shopping haul. The beneficiaries gave a courtesy call to Mayor Orlan A. Calayag and Committee Chairman on Trade & Commerce Binday Patulot as a gesture of gratitude for the commitment and support of every program implemented by DTI.

The LSP-NSB is a program of DTI to provide training and livelihood for micro-enterprises to help them restart their businesses amidst the pandemic and bring development services closer to the people through partnerships between LGUs and DTI.

With the livelihood assistance, DTI and its program partners expect that the selected beneficiaries will be diligent and persistent in improving their livelihoods in order to help the economy recover and flourish. ♦
