The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through Negosyo Center (NC) San Antonio, in cooperation with the Local Government Unit of San Antonio and in coordination with Sangguniang Barangay of Sintorisan, conducted the Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB). It was held on 15 – 17 February 2022, in Barangay Sintorisan, San Antonio, Quezon. The aim of the program is to provide wider business development assistance by bringing government services closer to the people through partnerships between relevant local government units and DTI officials.

The LSP-NSB activity was a two-day event where the first session was done through a face-to-face orientation and was held on 15 February 2022. The program was started by an opening prayer led by NC Tiaong Business Counselor Zara Capina, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. After the invocation, Hon. Alvin Pillerba gave a welcoming remark in which he highlighted that this program of DTI might help them improve their businesses. During the session proper, NC San Antonio Business Counselor Marianne Marie Adornado discussed the different DTI programs and services that existing and potential MSMEs can avail of. She also tackled the Negosyo Center’s functions and its services. The orientation ended with an open forum and clarifications regarding the topics discussed.

The remaining participants were reached through information dissemination with the help of barangay officials in Sintorisan. Each participant received an information package containing information about DTI programs and services, as well as hygiene kits. Five (5) beneficiaries from Brgy. Sintorisan will be awarded livelihood kits that consist of items that could aid and improve their businesses. ♦
