The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through the Negosyo Center (NC) San Antonio, in collaboration with the Small Business Corporation (SB Corp) and the Municipal Cooperative Development Council (MCDC) of San Antonio, Quezon, led by Ms. Hazel Hernandez, held the Pondo sa Pagbabago at Pag-Asenso (P3) Wholesale Lending Orientation with the Cooperatives of San Antonio, Quezon on 24 May 2022, in Barangay Poblacion, San Antonio, Quezon. The session aims to provide information about the wholesale lending program of Small Business Corporation (SB Corp) and business development assistance of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) programs and services.

It was one of the sessions where cooperative administrators and the MCDC Council gathered to look for a financial institution that could offer them low-interest loans to help them sustain their financial services. During the session, NC San Antonio Business Counselor Daisy S. Lacerna discussed the DTI programs and services that existing and potential MSMEs can avail themselves of. She also tackled the Negosyo Center functions and its services. After that, Accounts Management Analyst II Kevin Laroza discussed the P3 Program Wholesale Lending Loan features, requirements, policy, and guidelines. He also talked about the Rise Up Micro-Loan programs of the Small Business Corporation. From then on, participants were given time to open up their concerns related to the programs.

The program was participated in by a total of 19 participants, comprising 4 cooperatives named: San Antonio Quezon People’s Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Matipunso Waterworks and Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Del Valle Multi-Purpose Cooperative, and Roxas State Multi-Purpose Cooperative. Minimum health standard protocols were observed during the duration of the activity.♦
