The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through Negosyo Center Tayabas City, in coordination with the Barangay Local Government Unit, conducted the Livelihood Seeding Program — Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) on 17 February 2022, in Brgy. Calumpang. The activity started at 2:00 pm and was attended by the barangay officials and residents of Brgy. Calumpang.

After the preliminary activity, Business Counselor Jon Emilou M. Encomienda introduced the agency of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Quezon, represented by Precious R. Monedera and Lucille B. Javier. They explained the DOST’s programs and services that residents of Calumpang can avail of. After that, Business Counselor Encomienda explained the DTI Negosyo Center Services and the program Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay, consumer rights and responsibilities. She also tackled “Paano magsisimula ng negosyo?”

Punong Barangay Rosa Maria Quindoza gave her closing message to the participants and thanked the facilitators for giving Calumpang the opportunity to have these kinds of seminars.

After the event, the organizers distributed information materials, alcohol, and facemasks to the attendees. ♦
