PAGBILAO, QUEZON — On May 17–19, DTI Quezon’s Shared Service Facilities (SSF) team led by SSF Provincial Coordinator Ma Graciela C. Ledesma and SSF Support Staff Dendro M. Pereda traveled to Pagbilao, Quezon, to assist in the conduct of Commission, Training, and Testing of machines for the SSF for Cacao Processing under the Cooperator SICAP Quezon Agriculture Cooperative.
The activity was a 3-day training and commissioning and was led by Mr. James Enriquez from Diamond Industrial Systems Provider, the supplier of the machines for the said SSF. Representatives from SICAP Quezon Agriculture Cooperative, led by their chairman, Mr. Floro Cataniag, were able to test the machines delivered by the supplier and also familiarize themselves with the process of Chocolate processing and the proper operation of the machines. SICAP Quezon Agriculture Cooperative also invited Ms. Joy Cedel C. Mauna, a consultant in the Chocolate industry from Davao, to assist them in developing their chocolate products. The activity was also strategically set up for them to develop their products in preparation for their participation in the upcoming event Kalakal Quezon Funtastic Summer with CoCaNut (Coffee, Cacao, Coconut) on May 25–31, 2023, by the Department of Trade and Industry. ♦
