On 7 February 2022, DTI Quezon’s Shared Service Facilities (SSF) team went to the Quezon Food and Herbal Processing Center (QFHPC) of the Provincial Government of Quezon and the Mabilog Integrated Farm of SICAP Quezon Agriculture Cooperative in Pagbilao, Quezon to assist the Diamond Industrial Systems Provider, Inc., the supplier of the SSF projects for QFHPC and Cacao Processing to be established in Pagbilao, Quezon this year.

The team consisted of SSF Provincial Coordinator Ma. Graciela C. Ledesma and SSF Support Staff Dara Jannes C. Obmerga from DTI Quezon and Mr. James Enriquez and Mr. Joesef Marquez from Diamond Industrial Systems Provider, Inc.

They initially visited the Quezon Food and Herbal Processing Center (QFHPC) under the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) of the Provincial Government of Quezon. At the time of delivery, Food Service Supervisor III Eleanor D. Zabella showed the locations where the SSF machines and equipment will be placed. Enriquez and Marquez measured the spaces and took notes of the necessary tools to be brought on the target delivery date. Also, Mr. Roberto Atregenio, the supervising officer from OPA, helped with the inspection. There are seven (7) machines that will be granted to QFHPC under the SSF Program of DTI Quezon. QFHPC is located in Brgy. Talipan, Pagbilao, Quezon where will process cacao, coffee, ube, calamansi, coconut, vegetables, and other food and herbal products to help the farmers in Quezon Province.

In addition, they went to Mabilog Integrated Farm, where SICAP Agriculture Cooperative’s processing facility is located. Manager Lyka Camille Perez showed the facility to the supplier. Enriquez and Marquez also took notes and photos in order to properly place the SSF machines and equipment for the cacao processing. Under the SSF Program of DTI Quezon, there are eight (8) machines to be granted to SICAP. Mabilog Integrated Farm is located in Brgy. Ikirin, Pagbilao, Quezon.

These SSF projects are expected to launch in April 2022. ♦
