ANGONO, RIZAL — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Rizal successfully conducted the Collaborative Harnessing Assistance for Mentoring Program for SMEs (CHAMPS) in Rizal module 2 with the topic Business Compliance for MSMEs on July 12, 2023, via zoom application and was attended by selected beneficiaries of the program.
The session was hosted by Negosyo Center Angono Business Counselor Roselle Galcing and was graced by DTI Rizal CTIDS Sharon Dioco.
Resource speakers from Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)- Ms. Mary Grace Monforte, Social Security System (SSS)- Mr. Emanuelle Villanueva III, PAG-IBIG Fund- Ms. Valerie Faith Manuel and Mr. Brian Dela Peña and PhilHealth – Ms. Maria Theresa Aviles and Ms. Joy Montero enthusiastically shared their registration procedures & requirements, promote their online system for employees and employers and discussed the agencies member’s benefits and incentives. Question and answer portion was also conducted after each presentation for some clarifications and additional information.
CHAMPS is a localized mentorship project of DTI-Rizal that started in 2020 with the goal of providing capacity-building training for MSMEs to help them caught up in the digitally new normal scheme during the height of Covid-19 pandemic. It is also designed to help micro entrepreneurs in preparing to a more extensive DTI Programs like KMME and OTOP NG. With the success of the program, CHAMPS Rizal is now on its Season 4.
Remaining modules for CHAMPS will be conducted on the succeeding weeks followed by Business Plan Preparation Writeshop and presentation. ♦
