DTI Rizal through its Collaborative Harnessing Assistance for Mentoring Program for SMEs (CHAMPS) conducted Facebook and Instagram Marketing Module last 4 May 2022 and was joined by 67 attendees on the Zoom Meeting Room consisting of CHAMPS Beneficiaries of current and past seasons, other entrepreneurs, DTI Rizal Staff, and other government and private partners. The webinar was also simultaneously broadcasted on the CHAMPS Season 3 via Facebook for beneficiaries having trouble accessing Zoom.

Business Development Division Chief Sharon F. Dioco, in her opening remarks, shared her excitement on the day’s topic, putting emphasis not only on the importance of having a social media presence, but also what having the know-hows of digital marketing can do for businesses.

Crowd shot during the webinar

The day’s resource person, Harrah Amago, is a chemist turned freelance marketer and founder of ventures engaged in coaching aspiring social media managers and digital marketing services. She discussed three different ways a business can advertise through the Facebook Page, Groups and Ads, how one differs from the other, what businesses opt to use depending on their target and objective, its limitations, as well as the kinds of appropriate content. For Instagram Marketing, she stressed the importance of engagements (likes, comments, interacts, etc.) and Hashtag Strategy; a search engine optimization unique to Instagram that not only can be used to reach businesses and grow the audience but also put your post on the popular results.

Ms. Amago answered inquiries and encouraged businesses to reach out to her even after the webinar to give more tailor-fit advice depending on their specific concerns.
