The Department of Trade and Industry-Rizal Provincial Office, in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology, conducted its 6th series of “Digital Tuesdays” seminars last 20 September 2022, at 1:00PM. This was held at the Lower Ground Activity Area, Sta. Lucia Grand East Mall, Cainta, Rizal and attended by 20 participants. Business Counselor Arlene Olesco of Negosyo Center Teresa hosted the seminar.
Ms. Zendie Sollano-Cabanlong, DICT Rizal Provincial Head, delivered her welcoming remarks. She invited and encouraged participants to be updated with the upcoming seminars/webinars and other programs of DTI Rizal and DICT. She said that DTI Rizal and DICT are continuously discovering interventions relative to digitalization in the business activities of MSMEs.
Ms. Maria Jamaica Soriano, who is a DICT Scholar, entrepreneur, and social media specialist, was the resource speaker for the topic, Ecommerce Tools. She started the discussion by telling the participants what to expect from the topic, E-commerce tools. This includes a definition of e-commerce, a type of e-commerce, its benefits, and seven e-commerce tools essential for every business needs. She assured that after the discussion, participants would be able to understand the significance of e-commerce and equip their businesses with e-commerce tools, emphasizing their significance.
The certificate of appreciation was presented and read to the resource speaker by Ms. Sharon Dioco, Business Development Division Chief of DTI Rizal. The token of appreciation was also given to the speaker. She thanked Director Cabanlong and Ms. Soriano for the time and effort they had exerted to be present at the said event.
