The Local Government of Montalban through the Gender and Development Office celebrated the International Day of Rural Women with a theme “Rural Women Rise and Claim Your Basic Rights to Sustainable Development” in Sitio Macaingalan, Brgy. Puray, Montalban, Rizal last October 12, 2022.

This program is in collaboration with the different departments in the said LGU to bring the programs and services of the government such as medical mission, orientation on gender and development, financial literacy, livelihood training on banana chips and atchara papaya making, and product design and marketing. DTI Rizal was invited to join in this celebration, represented by Ms. Rachel Leones of Creatively Studio, a KMME and OTOP beneficiary, who discussed the different samples of packaging and their importance to marketing their product. Business Counselor Grace Masilongan was also present to assist potential and existing entrepreneurs.

This whole day activity benefited the locals for having immunization, free vitamins and medicines, rural women awareness, and livelihood opportunity. ♦
