ANTIPOLO CITY – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Rizal is once again taking the lead in empowering the youth through its highly anticipated Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) this year. The program kicked off with a successful webinar on ‘Entrepreneurial Mindset’, held on April 12, 2023, via Zoom and Facebook Live. With the theme “Building Initiatives with DTI in Assisting Budding Entrepreneurs to Succeed thru 7Ms,” the YEP aims to empower young Filipinos to become productive individuals through entrepreneurship. Gracing this event were DTI Rizal OIC Provincial Director Cleotilde Duran and DICT Provincial Head Zendie Cabanlong who gave inspirational messages to the participants.

The majority of the 433 participants who attended the webinar were students from various colleges and universities, including URS-Binangonan, World Citi Colleges-Antipolo, Our Lady of Fatima University, College of Saint John Paul II Arts and Sciences, LSPU-SCC, Trent Information First Technical Career Institute, Inc.-Taytay, TESDA School, Antonio C. Esguerra MNHS, Quality Lifelong Learning Institute, Inc., Tarlac Agricultural University, and the University of Baguio.

During the webinar, Mr. Dennis A. Orlina, an expert in entrepreneurship, discussed the significance of cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset to achieve success in the business world. He shared valuable insights on this topic, emphasizing the role of mindset in driving an individual’s entrepreneurial journey and highlighting some basic business aspects such as management, operations, marketing, and processes.

The webinar also had a Q&A portion, where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify their concerns with Mr. Orlina. DTI-Rizal presented Mr. Orlina with a certificate of appreciation for his valuable contribution to the webinar. BDD CTIDS Sharon Dioco formally closed the webinar thanking Mr. Orlina and the participants.

The YEP program is open to all young Filipinos who have a passion for entrepreneurship.
