The Department of Trade and Industry – Rizal Provincial Office (DTI Rizal) through Negosyo Center Tanay (Sampaloc) participated with the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) in pushing the Operationalization of the 11 Building Blocks of a resilient, responsive and relevant Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous People (ICC/IP). This was held on September 22-23, 2022 at the Epic Parc Rainforest Camp, Sitio Bayucan, Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal.

Negosyo Center Tanay (Sampaloc) Business Counselor Aryan F. Llasamares was invited to generously share DTI programs and services during the first day of this 2-day inter-agency seminar workshop. He presented the Negosyo Center services with an emphasis on empowering entrepreneurial mindsets among the priority sectors, including the IP community. He also discussed other DTI programs that may be of great help to the participants, such as SSF, KMME, OTOP, and P3 loan applications.

Secretary Allan Capuyan, Chairperson of NCIP/ELCAC-EXECOM, gave a powerful and moving message to the guests and participants, including IP communities, public officials, and representatives from various NGAs, who likewise had shown their support to our dear recipients. He reiterated the importance of IPs to the homeland as they protect and nurture their ancestral domain.

The activity is about the healing, reconciliation, and operationalization of the 11 Building Blocks in the Ancestral Domain in support to the Whole of Government/Whole of Nation approach by empowering the FRs, IP Youth/IP-EPs, and IP Leaders. The 11 Building Blocks were personally discussed by the NCIP Chairperson, Sec. Allen A. Capuyan.♦
