DTI Cavite monitors establishment in the province

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Cavite increased its presence in various establishments in the province to monitor the implementation of Minimum Health Protocols during the period of Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).

With the help of four Consumer Protection Division staff, four price monitors, 24 Negosyo Center business counselors, and three project coordinators, DTI-Cavite was able to expand its reach.  A total of 167 establishments were monitored, 80 of which were dine-in restaurants, salons, and barbershops while 87 were other retail establishments. Said establishments were monitored from March to April 2021.

As for the areas covered, the local government units (LGUs) with large number of establishments monitored were the City of Dasmariñas, followed by City of Imus, City of Bacoor, and Municipality of Indang.

When non-compliance is observed, monitors initially request the establishment to do corrective actions, followed by close monitoring of the establishment for three days before reporting it as non-compliant.

Since the monitoring activities began in March, 100% compliance among Cavite establishments has been reported. ♦
