The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region IVA, in collaboration with Tayabas City Cooperative Development Office (TCCDO), conducted a blended forum for the youth titled “Kooperatiba para sa kabataan, Oportunidad at Program (KPOP)” held at 2F Casa Comunidad de Tayabas, Brgy. San Roque Zone 1, Tayabas City, Quezon. Mayor Ernida Agpi-Reynoso welcomed the participants as well as the guests from the various agencies and offices. Face-to-face and Zoom participants actively participated in the hybrid forum.

A program in line with the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP), Trade-Industry Development Specialist/YEP Provincial Focal Person Jaryz Eden Lloce, attended and discussed the YEP. This program aims to uplift the youth’s economic and social welfare by giving them easy access to government programs and services and encouraging them to be entrepreneurs.

The local job opportunities for youth were discussed by the Public Employment Service Office. And also, the Development Bank of the Philippines also expressed their support by attending and discussing financial literacy.

Simultaneously with the program, Negosyo Center Tayabas City Business Counselor Jon Emilou M. Encomienda managed the DTI Quezon mini booth fair to accommodate inquiries from the attendees.

Overall, the participants’ impressions of the forum were very satisfactory. They were equipped with the knowledge and information as they leave the event that will enable them to be motivated to take the first step to their brighter future. ♦
