INFANTA, QUEZON — In order to continue supporting MSMEs and potential entrepreneurs, as well as promoting and implementing strong environmental protection measures in Infanta, Quezon, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon through Negosyo Center Infanta, in collaboration with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), hosted an orientation-seminar called “Social Media and Digital Marketing Fundamentals” as part of the Ecobricks Project under the Solid Waste Management Program of the Local Government Unit (LGU) through MENRO. The seminar aimed to educate the attendees on how to effectively use social media and digital marketing to promote their businesses.

This full-day activity took place on May 30, 2023, at The New Silangan Restaurant, located in Barangay Comon, Infanta, Quezon. The event was attended by the presidents of Kalipunan sa Lahing Pilipina (KALIPI) from thirty-six barangays in Infanta, Quezon.

The program commenced promptly at 8:30 AM with an invocation, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and Infanta Hymn. Mr. Reynaldo C. Avila, the Municipal Government Department Head/MENRO, delivered an informative message to the attendees, officially opening the event. Subsequently, a video message from the Honorable Mayor, Filipina Grace R. America, was presented to the attendees.

Ms. Maria Cristina D. Rebenque was invited to impart her knowledge and expertise in the field of Social Media and Digital Marketing. The seminar covered topics such as crafting a brand, the brand strategy process, creating a social media strategy, identifying target audiences, and using digital tools to enhance marketing efforts.

Following the discussion, KALIPI members were given the chance to raise their concerns and seek clarification. A few attendees expressed their appreciation to the facilitators of the event and expressed their desire to have similar activities in the future.

Ms. Aguelo conveyed her gratitude for its success. Additionally, she underscored the significance of Business Name Registration and elaborated on the various DTI Programs and services that could potentially aid KALIPI in enhancing its businesses.

Through this partnership between DTI Quezon and MENRO, KALIPI were able to gain valuable insights and skills that can help them grow their business while also contributing to the preservation of the environment.
