The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna Provincial Office, in partnership with the Municipality of Alaminos through Negosyo Center Alaminos successfully conducted SME Roving Academy (SMERA) on consumer education, setting up a business, and entrepreneurial training for Pangkabuhayan para sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Program identified beneficiaries last 20 May 2022. The said activity was spearheaded by Negosyo Center Business Counselor, Ms. Shairralyn O. Surigao together with other DTI Laguna personnel namely Ms. Joemarie Valizado, Ms. Marites Pantua, Ms. Grace Del Carmen, Ms. Maureen Leyros, and Mr. Christian Ted Tungohan.

Ms. Joemarie Valizado discussed the PPG Program objectives, coverage, target beneficiary, and procedure for assisting. Ms. Marites Pantua discussed the basic consumer rights and responsibilities, consumer education, and acts or law. Negosyo Center Business Counsellor Ms. Shairralyn Surigao discussed the topic of setting up a business, Negosyo Centers offered services, business name, and Barangay Micro Business Enterprises (BMBE) registration. The simplified action plan that shows the assets, expenses, income, and profit of the beneficiaries is also accomplished during the workshop.

The entrepreneurial training received positive comments and good feedback. All of the participants answered the client satisfaction form and graded it as passed. Overall, the SME Roving Academy under the PPG program was commended by its identified beneficiaries, and they are pleased to join the future seminars, mentoring, and coaching sessions of the Negosyo Center Alaminos.

The recently conducted seminar of the Negosyo Center Alaminos was attended by a total of 60 existing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from different barangays in Alaminos, Laguna. ♦
