Negosyo Center (NC) Cardona hosted the orientation for 18 sari-sari store owners, beneficiaries of the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) held at Mayor Rudy Flores Bldg., San Roque, Cardona, Rizal on 27 May 2022.

NC Cardona Business Counselor (BC) Johanna Faye R. Javier briefly explained to the beneficiaries how were they selected and emphasized how their adherence to laws governing operating a business (registering their businesses) put them at an advantage as potential beneficiaries are first gathered from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Database along with Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) Data provided by the LGU. She then discussed the Barangay Micro Business Enterprise, its aim of encouraging the formalization of underground businesses, who is it for, and the benefits that a BMBE Eligibility entails. She proceeded to discuss 7Ms to Create Smarter and Successful Entrepreneurs and DTI’s corresponding programs to each “M”. Lastly, she discussed the main point of the day, the Pagbangon at Ginhawa Program, its eligible beneficiaries, assistance provided, requirements, program procedures and monitoring of beneficiaries awarded with livelihood kits, among others. She also guided the beneficiaries in filling out the required CPMS and Simplified Action Plan Forms.

Under the PPG Program, KIA-WIA, people identified by the NTF-ELCAC, beneficiaries of the Balik Probinsya Program, refugees/stateless persons, microenterprises affected by fire incidents and other calamities, including the COVID-19 Pandemic are eligible to receive assistance.

DTI Rizal will award 50 livelihood kits to Cardona-based sari-sari stores. More livelihood kits will be given to eligible Cardona MSMEs engaged in other businesses such as garments, carinderia, etc. through the Provincial PPG Program. ♦
