To ensure the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon’s commitment in building globally competitive and innovative industry clusters, Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist (STIDS), Ma. Graciela C. Ledesma, Bamboo Industry Focal Person and Business Counselor Rolynda N. Quimora, Account Officer for Construction Industry facilitated the Bamboo Possibilities: Various Applications in Housing Design and Construction last 26 November, 2021 via Zoom teleconference and Facebook Live.
A total of 185 participants composing of potential and existing MSMEs, local government units and non-government organizations all over the world attended the free webinar featuring Architect Rosario Encarnacion-Tan, Dr. Pablo Jorillo Jr., General Manager of Base Bahay Foundation and Ms. Zahra Zanjani, co-founder of CUBO Modular as the resource persons with knowledge and expertise on the various applications of bamboo dubbed as the green gold in housing design and construction.
Bamboo, as the grass of hope, has a lot of uses still unknown to many. That is why the activity aimed to provide awareness and appreciation of the potential of bamboo. Likewise to enable MSMEs especially in the construction industry to adopt innovative strategies and applications of bamboo in housing design and construction and to generate support in the implementation of bamboo roadmap. ♦
