The Department of Trade and Industry Quezon Provincial Office, through Negosyo Center Mulanay, in cooperation with the Local Government Unit (LGU) Mulanay and in coordination with Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay San Pedro, launched the Livelihood Seeding Program—Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) on 16 May 2022, at the Barangay Hall, Barangay San Pedro, Mulanay, Quezon. The activity was held at 9 o’clock in the morning and was attended by barangay officials, business owners, seniors, students, and other residents of the said barangay.

Opening prayer before conducting the activity

The program started with an opening prayer, followed by singing the national anthem and a welcome remark from Barangay Captain Digna Rodilas. She expressed great pleasure at speaking with the participants and welcomed the business counselor for their effort in choosing their barangay and raising awareness of the program, especially among their MSMEs.

During the discussion, DTI Negosyo Center Mulanay Business Counselor Altamiel Athens Evangelista deliberated on the objectives of the LSP-NSB program, DTI, and Negosyo Center programs and services; Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME), One Town One Product (OTOP), Shared Service Facilities (SSF), Price Monitoring, How to Start a Business, Consumer Complain, and Consumer Education. She also discussed the step-by-step process of business permit registration. Open forum and distribution of food and hygiene kits was conducted afterwards.

Business Counselor Evangelista ended the program by thanking all the participants and all the barangay officials of Barangay San Pedro for making the LSP-NSB program possible. ♦
