The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through Negosyo Center Mulanay, in cooperation with the Local Government Unit (LGU) Mulanay and in partnership with Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay Matataja, conducted a Livelihood Seeding Program—Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) on 17 May 2022 at the Barangay Hall, Barangay Matataj, Mulanay. The event began at 9: 30 a.m. and was attended by barangay officials, business owners, seniors, students, and other barangay residents.

The program started with the registration of attendees, a prayer, and was followed by the singing of the national anthem. After a while, DTI Negosyo Center Mulanay Business Counselor, Ms. Altamiel Athens Evangelista, introduced herself. She then calls on the Punong Barangay Hon. Magdalena Olveda, to deliberate on her welcome remarks. As she welcomed DTI to the barangay, she expressed gratitude for giving them the opportunity to provide business development assistance, essential business advice, and disseminate information to the MSMEs and residents of their locality.

Moreover, BC Evangelista walked through the diverse objectives of the LSP-NSB program, DTI, and Negosyo Center programs and services; KMME, One Town, One Product (OTOP), Shared Service Facilities (SSF), Price Monitoring, How to Start a Business, Consumer Complaints, and Consumer Education. She also discussed the step-by-step process of business permit registration. Furthermore, an open forum took place and the distribution of food and hygiene kits happened.

The resulting evaluation from the participants was entirely satisfactory and Business Counselor Evangelista ended the program by thanking all the participants and all the barangay officials of Barangay San Pedro for making the LSP-NSB program possible.♦
