The Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) is a program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) which aims to bring the DTI’s services and programs closer to the people of Barangay through the partnership of local government units (LGUs). Commensurate with this, the DTI Quezon, through Negosyo Center (NC) Padre Burgos Business Counselor Meranel Ann T. Rustia, conducted LSP-NSB in Padre Burgos, Quezon.

The first run of the LSP-NSB happened on 11 May 2022, in Barangay Hinguiwin, Padre Burgos, Quezon with a total of 106 participants. Negosyo Center Business Counselor Rustia briefly discussed the DTI’s programs and services and had a seminar entitled “How to Start a Business” for the people present at Barangay Hall of Hinguiwin. She then gave fliers containing information about DTI’s programs and services and hygiene kits. Barangay Chairwoman Lorenza Subieto and other barangay officials showed support and helped in making the said activity successful.

The second run of LSP-NSB happened on 12 May 2022, in Barangay Rizal, Padre Burgos, Quezon with a total of 106 participants. Barangay Chairwoman Eleanor De Luna, with the support of other barangay officials, assisted NCBC Rustia in conducting LSP-NSB. The program started with a prayer, followed by a discussion of the DTI’s services and programs, and a seminar entitled “How to Start a Business.” The activity ended by giving information materials and hygiene kits to all the attendees.

A total of 212 individuals participated in LSP-NSB from two barangays in Padre Burgos, which are Barangays Hinguiwin and Rizal. ♦
