The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through Negosyo Center (NC) San Antonio, in cooperation with the local government unit of San Antonio and Barangay Local Government of Callejon headed by Punong Barangay Pamfilo G. Lopez, conducted the Livelihood Seeding Program-Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) in San Antonio, Quezon last 20 May 2022, in Barangay Magsaysay, San Antonio, Quezon. The aim of the program is to provide business development assistance by bringing DTI programs and services closer to the public through partnerships between relevant local government units and DTI officials.

It was a one-day event that first gathered barangay officials and MSME beneficiaries to capacitate and provide basic business advice. During the session, NC San Antonio Business Counselor Daisy S. Lacerna discussed the DTI programs and services that existing and potential MSMEs can avail themselves of. She also tackled the Negosyo Center functions and its services. Invited guests from BPLO, License Inspector II Japrilin M. Lanto, discussed Business Licensing and Registration; and from the Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Technologists Rex Joshua T. Lindo and Vicmar Niño Maligaya discussed Biosecurity and Livestock Insurance. Each participant received an information kit containing pertinent information about DTI programs and services, as well as a hygiene kit containing alcohol and a facemask.

The program had 83 participants, with five existing and 78 potential MSMEs in the face-to-face conduct session, and we are still reaching potential MSMEs through information dissemination with the assistance of Magsaysay barangay officials. Minimum health standard protocols were observed during the duration of the activity. ♦
