The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through Negosyo Center (NC) Tayabas, together with the Tayabas City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (CEDIPO) and City Price Coordinating Council (CPCC), conducted a webinar on “Awareness Safety on Quality and Safety” for participants consisting of the different LGU-Tayabas City offices, CPCC members, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and businesses engaged in hardware and construction trading. This webinar aims to increase the awareness of Tayabasin on the importance of the quality and safety of products. The seminar proper started from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The said webinar started with a prayer followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Ms. Jon Emilou M. Encomienda, Negosyo Center—Tayabas City Business Counselor, hosted the webinar. An overview of the program was delivered by Ms. Lani Constantino, OIC Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist. It was followed by the welcome remarks from Ms. Mary Lou Montoya, CEDIPO Designate/CPCC Secretariat. After the warm welcome, the resource speaker, Mr. Phillip Leee Oliveros, Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist, started the discussion properly, and the participants actively listened. The open forum was a discussion, and participants raised their concerns and questions. Mr. Oliveros answered all of them. Ms. Montaya awarded the certificate of appreciation to Mr. Oliveros and congratulated the participants as she delivered her closing message. The overall impression of the webinar was satisfactory. The participants shared their appreciation for the topic, which is relevant to their course. ♦
