The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through Negosyo Center Lucena City, conducted a Seminar on How to Recover from Crisis through Business on 27 April 2022, in Barangay 6, Lucena City. It was attended by 36 potential and existing MSMEs from the said barangay.

The seminar started at 8:30 in the morning with an invocation. It was followed by the welcome remarks of the Chairman of the Sangguniang Kabataan, Mr. John Robin Tambach. “Kung ang gusto mo ay pagbabago, simulan mo ito sa iyong sarili,” SK Charmain Tambach said as he finished his welcome remarks. Negosyo Center Lucena City Business Counselor, Ms. Rolynda N. Quimora, introduced Ms. Rosemarie E. Danza as the resource speaker for the seminar.

Ms. Danza thoroughly discussed the following topics: the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic; what is business?, how to start a business; characteristics of a successful entrepreneur; SWOT analysis; the 4Ps of Marketing; and Pricing and Costing.

“Wag magpapatalo sa pandenya, magnegosyo at umahon ka. Let’s Go, ngayon na!” Ms. Danza said as she concluded her talk.

This half-day seminar was conducted to equip the potential and existing entrepreneurs in the barangay with the knowledge and innovative strategies on how to recover from crisis through business as well as providing them with new ideas in their entrepreneurial endeavors. Meanwhile, NC TIDA Keanu Austin Rairata gave the closing remarks. ♦
