The Department of Trade and Industry—Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) through Negosyo Center Mabitac and the local government unit of Mabitac, Laguna, conducted an orientation about the services of the Department and a training in dishwashing liquid, fabric conditioner, powder detergent, and hand liquid soap making business held at Brgy. Nanguma, Mabitac, Laguna, on July 29, 2022.

The activity aims to provide a livelihood business for individuals and create a profitable business enterprise that sells dishwashing liquid, fabric conditioner, powder detergent, and hand liquid soap.

The activity commenced with an opening prayer and acknowledgement of guests and participants by Arnold Deocansel, as well as an overview of the activity. DTI-Laguna Business Counsellor Cris Mark Bermudo then discussed the importance of registering business names with DTI as well as related services pertaining to consumer protection. In addition, Bermudo discussed the Small Business Corporation’s Rise Up Multi-Purpose Loan.

Afterwards, the Special Livelihood Office headed by Jemelie Villarina, together with staff Via Mia Madiz, Fe Bondoc, Jamaica Vilador, and Reynaldo A. Untalan, conducted the actual and hands-on training. They explained the step-by-step procedures for making dishwashing liquid, fabric conditioner, powder detergent, and hand liquid soap. Lastly, they also provided the participants with the basics of product pricing and costing.♦
