Negosyo Centers are established in strategic areas convenient for the existing and would-be entrepreneurs. One of the responsibilities of this is to promote ease of doing business and facilitate access to services for MSMEs within its jurisdiction, and by means of access services. SME Roving Academy (SMERA) is one of the DTI continuous learning programs designed for the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for them to become competitive in the domestic and international markets.

In order to help the existing and potential entrepreneurs to have more comprehensive knowledge in entrepreneurial mind setting, Negosyo Center Magdalena conducted the SME Roving Academy (SMERA) webinar entitled “Entrepreneurial Mind Setting: A Mechanism for Goal Attainment” last April 5, 2022 via Zoom. The said activity was spearheaded by Negosyo Center Magdalena Business Counselor, Ms. Rica Mae E. Garcia together with Negosyo Center Majayjay Business Counselor, Mr. Mark Vincent M. Arasa.

Mr. Arasa, the resource speaker of the said webinar, clearly discussed the importance of entrepreneurship and having an entrepreneurial mindset, then proceed by discussing the difference between wantrepreneurs and entrepreneurs and giving the real definition of the two. He also discussed the six (6) traits of people with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as the DTI’s 7M’s for MSMEs. To further equip and make the entire learning experience of the participants complete, NC Magdalena Business Counselor will send each participant with a copy of the “Entrepreneurial Mind Setting: A Mechanism for Goal Attainment” presentation which they can use as a reference or guide in starting their own business.

The recently conducted webinar of the Negosyo Center Magdalena was attended by more than one hundred (100) participants via Zoom and the DTI-Laguna Facebook page — from different municipalities and cities of Laguna and some from other provinces.♦
