DTI Quezon, through Negosyo Center Mauban, conducted the Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) on April 19, 2022 at the Covered Court of Brgy. Cagsiay 1, Mauban, Quezon.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through Negosyo Center Mauban, conducted the Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) on 19 April 2022 at the Covered Court of Brgy. Cagsiay 1, Mauban, Quezon. This was accomplished in cooperation with the Consumer Protection Division of DTI-Quezon, Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), and with the support of the Barangay Local Government Units of Cagsiay 1.

This seminar was held in two (2) separate sessions, morning and afternoon, with 82 participants, including Barangay officials, existing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and potential entrepreneurs. Both sessions started with the registration and the distribution of hygiene kits to the participants, followed by the opening message from Barangay Secretary, Epifania Belmis. On behalf of the Barangay Council, she expressed her gratitude to the DTI for organizing this kind of activity that aims to raise awareness among barangay officials and residents about the programs and services provided by the DTI through the NC.

NC-Mauban Business Counselor (BC) Nicole P. Lleva and Mr. Keanu Rairata, TIDA NC, DTI-Quezon, discussed the different programs and services of DTI. They tackled Negosyo Center, Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay, Business Information and Advocacy, Kapatid Mentor Me (KMME), OTOP Next Gen, and Shared Service Facilities (SSF). They also provided information regarding business name registration and the differences between the four territorial scopes.

Consumer Protection STIDS, Mr. Philip Leee Oliveros, and DTI Quezon were also present at the event. He discussed Fair Trade Law, which focused on the price act and consumer act. This information education campaign is important to provide information for everyone to become smart in their buying and availing of products and services.

Ms. Kenneth T. Caliwanagan, Licensing Officer I, BPLO Mauban, tackled the improved procedure in Business Permit registration and the different agencies involved throughout the process. After the orientation, an open forum took place, and one-on-one consultancy was given to MSMEs about their business operations. NC-BC Lleva ended the program by giving thanks to all participants for their active participation.♦
