MAUBAN, QUEZON — The Sangguniang Bayan, led by Vice Mayor Hon. Alween Manaog Sardea, called for a public hearing for the proposed ordinance supporting the Buy Local Advocacy Program at the SB Session Hall in Mauban, Quezon.

The event aimed to present the proposed ordinance and gather feedback, comments, and suggestions from the public. The proposed ordinance was presented by the Committee Chairman of Trade, Commerce, and Industry, Hon. Melai Pasamba, along with her Vice Chairman, Hon. Ken Llamas. Lleva, honorable members of the Sangguniang Bayan, such as Councilor Katkat Gapasangra, Councilor Natan Calucin, and Councilor Raquel Almacen, and representatives from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The proposed ordinance aims to utilize at least 10% of the approved annual procurement plan (APPs) in every department of LGU Mauban for the purchase of locally produced products and services, providing eligible MSMEs a fair opportunity to participate. This advocacy program will not only create a market for Mauban MSMEs but also provide more employment opportunities for the residents of Mauban.
