The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna, through Negosyo Center (NC) Pangil, continue to provide seminars to help the potential and existing entrepreneurs of Pangil and nearby cities and municipalities gain more knowledge on the operations of their businesses. A webinar on Social Media Marketing Techniques and Strategies was conducted last 12 April 2022 via Zoom.

Social media marketing uses social media and social networks to promote a product or service. It allows companies and businesses to engage with existing customers and reach new ones as they promote their culture, mission, or tone. Social media marketing has purpose-built data analytics tools that allow marketers to track the success of their efforts. Although the terms e-marketing and digital marketing are still dominant in academia, social media marketing is becoming more popular for both practitioners and researchers.

The webinar was hosted by Negosyo Center Business Counselor Ms. Danica R. Briones of Negosyo Center Pangil. It started with the preliminaries and with an opening prayer led by the Business Counselor. The activity was graced by the Chief of the Business Development Division of DTI Laguna, Ms. Marcelina B. Alcantara, who delivered a welcoming message to the participants. She emphasized the importance of such activity to every entrepreneur and also shared other DTI programs and services that would be of great help in managing and growing their businesses. It was then followed by a brief introduction of the resource speaker by the Business Counselor of NC Pangil.
