QUEZON, QUEZON — The opening of the Agri-Tourism Trade Fair marks the start of this year’s Yubakan Festival Celebration in Quezon, Quezon. The fair runs from April 28–May 3, 2023, wherein participating barangays design each respective booth, showcase, and sell their products, both food and non-food.

Bouncing back from the effects of the pandemic, the Municipal Tourism Council thought that it was the perfect time to uplift the town’s celebration by reviving traditional activities, one of which is opening a wider trade fair to re-introduce a town’s products and provide tourists with a unique taste of Quezon, Quezon.

The goal of the activity is to promote tourism, farm production, local products, processed food, and handicrafts, among others, and to be an instrument for participating MSMEs to reach a wider market.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon- through Negosyo Center Quezon, witnessed the opening of the trade fair and visited each booth. Business Counselor Marianel Omila provided business information materials to exhibitors and potential clients; she also conducted profiling of participants to further evaluate possible assistance DTI may provide.
