Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon through its Negosyo Center San Andres in partnership with the Municipal Tourism Office conducted a Basic Tour Guiding and E-commerce Training Workshop on 30 – 31 March 2022 at the LGU Training Center, San Andres, Quezon. It was facilitated by Ms. Gee Ann Peñalosa, Negosyo Center Business Counselor, and Mr. Anjo Miguel Banquiles, Tourism Officer I.

The activity was conducted as part of the tourism industry recovery from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. It also aimed to help the Local Coordinators to be more confident and uplift their self-esteem in guiding the tourists as well as to develop their skills on how to maximize social media and different modes of e-payments as a marketing strategy.

Aside from Basic Tour Guiding and E-commerce discussed by Mr. Anjo Miguel Banquiles and Ms. Gee Ann Peñalosa, Mr. Reynald Rivera from BFP demonstrated the Basic Life support while Ms. Reverie V. Seguit imparted the knowledge about The Importance of Protecting Ecotourism Site. At the end of the activity, Ms. Peñalosa informed the Local Coordinators that SB Corp is still accepting loan applications from Tourism Industry even without DOT Accreditation.

After the activity, our Local Coordinators are excited to guide you while experiencing the beauty of Alibihaban Island. Again, “Choose Happiness, Choose San Andres”. ♦
