The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through Negosyo Center (NC) San Antonio, in cooperation with the Local Government Unit (LGU) San Antonio and Barangay Local Government of Callejon headed by Barangay Captain Teodoro M. Marabe, conducted the Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) last 17 May 2022 in Barangay Callejon, San Antonio, Quezon. The aim of the program is to provide business development assistance by bringing DTI programs and services closer to the public through partnerships between relevant local government units and DTI officials.

It was a one-day event that first gathered Barangay Officials and MSME Beneficiaries to capacitate and provide basic business advisory During the session, NC San Antonio Business Counselor Daisy S. Lacerna discussed the DTI programs and services that existing and potential MSMEs can avail themselves of. She also tackled the Negosyo Center functions and its services. Invited guests from BPLO, License Inspector II Japrilin M. Lanto, discussed Business Licensing and Registration; and from the Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Technologist Rex Joshua T. Lindo and Vicmar Niño Maligaya discussed Biosecurity and Livestock Insurance. Each participant received information material about DTI programs and services as well as a hygiene kit that included alcohol and a facemask.

The program was attended by a total of 110 participants (86 male, 24 female), comprising 6 existing and 104 potential MSMEs. Minimum health standard protocols were observed during the duration of the activity.♦
