Santa Maria, Laguna — The Santa Maria Municipal Treasurer’s Office, in cooperation with the Negosyo Center, Business Permit and Licensing Office, Municipal Planning and Development Office, Municipal Engineering Office, Health Sanitation Office, and Bureau of Fire Protection, conducted a Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) at the Municipal Covered Court, Brgy. II, Santa Maria, Laguna. BOSS was launched and started its operation last January 6, 2020.

Negosyo Center Santa Maria has received and processed a total of 111 Business Name Registration applications (103 new and 8 renewal) and two (2) BMBE new applications during the BOSS (as of January 24). All of them were assisted on the next steps in securing their business permits and were informed of the Negosyo Center services. Also, two (2) new micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs were assisted on E-Marketing. They were given information on the importance of online presence and on how they could create a free business website using Google My Business.

On January 17, 2020, some personnel from the Department of Interior and Local Government and the Department of Trade and Industry visited the BOSS and monitored and validated its processes. There are only three (3) steps to secure a Business/Mayor’s Permit: (1) File, (2) One-Time Assessment and Payment, and (3) Claim and Release of Business Permit. Here are the following requirements in filing: DTI Business Name Certificate, Zoning Clearance, Annual Inspection Clearance, Sanitary Permit, 2020 Cedula, and Barangay Clearance. Upon the submission of complete requirements, business owners may claim their business permits on the same day.

Overall, the BOSS in Santa Maria, Laguna. were highly appreciated by the business owners who acquired their business permits with ease. The Business One-Stop Shop was extended until January 23, 2020. (DTI-Laguna)♦
