SARIAYA, QUEZON — A Coffee Farm Rehabilitation and Development Consultation was conducted at Brgy. Concepcion Banahaw, Sariaya, Quezon. The government’s collaboration efforts between the Department of Agriculture Region IV-A, the Department of Agrarian Reform, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through its Negosyo Center Sariaya, Quezon Tourism, and LGU Sariaya showcased their commitment to improving the livelihoods of coffee farmers.
With accurate information from data gathering and statistics, the government can create targeted interventions that address the specific needs of the farmers. The program was an excellent opportunity to gather feedback from coffee farmers, assess their needs, and develop appropriate interventions to address them.
The government’s intervention highlights the crucial role of cooperation between government agencies and farmers in achieving sustainable agricultural development. It is essential for farmers, who are the backbone of our agricultural industry, to recognize the government’s efforts and actively participate in the interventions provided to improve their livelihoods.
The success of these initiatives relies heavily on the farmers’ willingness to cooperate and embrace change. With the government’s commitment and support, coffee farmers have the opportunity to improve their productivity and profitability. It is important to note that when farmers actively participate in the interventions provided, they are not only improving their own livelihoods but also contributing to the development of the coffee industry in the municipality of Sariaya. Therefore, by embracing change, our local farmers can create a positive impact not only for themselves but for their community as well. ♦
